Confirm your claimant’s current living or deceased status, receipt of benefits checks or activity level with an alive and well verification. Our basic investigation is conducted through a telephone inquiry with the claimant and/or neighbors. It is followed by a search and verification of the claimant’s Social Security number, Social Security Administration Death Master File, and a nationwide search for obituary postings.

Comprehensive alive and well checks are conducted face-to-face through the industry’s largest all-employee network. The claimant is interviewed to obtain the Social Security Number, current address and telephone number, medical treatment and benefit check status, activity level, disability status, and a residence description to verify a claimant’s alive status.
